Happy Birthday, Jim Coates

Jim CoatesHappy Birthday to former New York Yankee pitcher Jim Coates.  Mummy made his major league debut in 1956 and pitched from 1959 to 1963.  He pitched in six World Series games and won two World Series rings.  Shortly after the 1963 season began, he was traded to the Senators for Steve Hamilton.  When Jim returned to the American League in 1966 and 1967, he only pitched against the Yankees once and I wasn’t in that game.
